About the Event

Join us for dance, creativity and discovery for all ages at Chapel Street Arts Centre.

This free event invites people of all ages and abilities to explore the building, take part in short, drop-in workshop-style sessions, and enjoy a day of creativity and performance. Across the day, artists and instructors who work at Chapel Street Arts Centre will lead 30-minute tasters, giving you the chance to watch, join in and have a go.

The programme will feature a range of dance classes for children and adults, with confirmed styles including Jazz, Cabaret and Flamenco. There will also be short live performances in the auditorium, showcasing some of the work developed in the space.

Alongside the workshops, visit the café area to meet some of the local businesses and organisations who use Chapel Street Arts Centre for meetings and events, with pop-up information stalls running throughout the day.

The café and bar will be open, and this Opening Day also marks the new home of the Derby LIVE Box Office, with ticket sales and information now based at Chapel Street Arts Centre.
